Default Shooting Range Recommendations - Perkasie, Quakertown, etc. Area

Just moved up here recently from Delaware county. Any recommendations of shooting ranges/areas in the Perkasie, Quakertown, etc. area? Indoor and Outdoor are both fine.

Welcome to the forum Kolya, I believe that Def Con One in Coopersburg has a small indoor range at their shop. Also there are many clubs up in your neck of the woods. Check the "Ranges" department in our forum. Good luck in Bucks County...Mike45

Talking Re: Shooting Range Recommendations - Perkasie, Quakertown, etc. Area

1981,

Their's a state park in northern Bucks I think they have an outside range. Ask around I'am sure someone knows the one I'am talking about. It's has a lake that is elec. motors only.

Lake Nockamixon State Park.

Last time I was there was before I left for The Citadel in summer of 05. They said their range was out of action and would remain so for a long time (all I remembered was it was measured in years, while my time in PA was measured in months).

So I guess it could be open again now... but I'm not sure.

The public range at Nockamixon is gone, and it will probably be a cold day in hell before it's re-opened.

Bucks County Fish and Game, Trumbaursville Gun Club, and Paletown Gun Club are all local to you. However, you need to know someone to get in. I'm a member of Paletown, and we only take in members in February, so that won't be much help to you. Trumbaursville accepts members year-round, and so does Bucks County Fish and Game. I can't help you with those two.

Range: Wicens Outdoor Range
Address: 3179 Mozart Rd in Furlong Pa
Not too far from you, you can shoot all day for 15.00, have lunch delivered right to the range from a couple of local restaurants that cater to the range. Awesome people-very friendly and helpful.

Welcome to the area. Nockamixon is closed, for good they say. Last I was there Def Con One only allowed Frangible, if I remember correctly - its been about a year. There is also Classic Pistol (indoor) in Southampton or Branch Valley http://www.branchvalleyfgfassoc.org and Souderton - Harleysville http://www.shgff.com very close to you.
