Default [OC] My positive experiences in Bucks Co.

Edit: I ended up making the blog-type website, anyway. You can see it at http://www.cosmisco.com/oc . I also linked to PAFOA from the main page.

I wanted to start a thread detailing my positive experiences in Bucks County, specifically the Warrington/Warminster/Doylestown area.

This area may seem like a "No-Fly-Zone" for open carry to many members who are residents of Bucks, so I want to dispel that myth, and get a nice OC movement going in the area. Perhaps I will put a "blog" type area on my website if the feedback here seems positive.

So here we go...

Saturday, January 26, 2008:
Open carried to Eagle Diner in Warminster. I did not get any odd looks, or worrisome behavior from anyone. The staff was great, as usual, and the food was awesome. I did not get any questions or comments from anyone at the Diner.

Sunday, January 27, 2007:
Open carried to Hair Cuttery in Warrington. This is the new one in the Valley Square Shopping Center (the huge one with Wegmans). The salon is right next door to the liquor store.

I walked in, with my Glock 36 in my Blackhawk Serpa OWB, shirt tucked. The only thing covering it was my coat. The stylist offered to take my coat, and just like that I was open carrying.

In the salon were probably 4 or 5 moms, each with their kids. There were other men sitting down waiting, as well. I didn't get any questions/comments/weird looks from anyone, except from one guy who looked like he was in the military (high-and-tight hair cut, buff, very clean cut).

I had a wonderful conversation with the stylist, mentioned where I worked (so she KNEW I was not a police officer), and went to the counter to pay. I gave her a decent tip, and left satisfied.

This experience was very beneficial. I was in close quarters with many people, I had a great conversation, and tipped well. I feel like the stylist may have a good understanding now that gun owners are polite, well-mannered, and caring people.

Usually working 8-5 in Doylestown. I'm the Asst. Mgr at a big red bank within stone-throwing distance of that WaWa. You should stop in some time. I'm usually free for lunches, but would have to setup a time, as I usually take lunch when I have a free hour. (anytime from 11:30-1:30)

Update: I decided that updating a forum thread might get tiresome, so I put up an Open Carry blog on my website.

Feel free to leave any comments, and YES I linked back to pafoa on the main page.

How about UNO's right off of Easton Rd.

Edit: Just noticed I'm working on February 9th. Can we make it the 16th? It's the following Saturday. Say 12:30?
