Just moved to Adamstown

Hello Everyone. I just moved to Adamstown to a place in the Stoutsburg Village.

I was wondering, with all the talk about getting permits to carry in Berks and Reading area, would my PA Concealed license cover this?...Or would I have to get one to venture into Berks?

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but just want to make sure.

Your existing LTCF is fine until it is time to renew. At that point you will just need to get the paperwork to renew through Berks county.

Thanks, that's what i thought, but it never hurts to be 100% sure.

Looking around at the range options in the area, it doesnt look like I have any close ranges with firing lines at 7yards.....guess i'll stick with Manhiem sportsmans association.

actually that is lancaster county yet fyi. im only about 10 min from you. my one swat buddy lives in there also. nice area

yeah, it is Lancaster yet. I was just curious cause I carry when I ride and I get into Berks often.

You're buddy lives in Stoutsburg village? Does he and his wife have a Dodge truck and a sweet Grand Cherokee SRT8? I heard he's a cop....

LOL funny I just stumbled upon this thread guys and I am very close to you also. I just bought m first handgun and have no where to shoot it. I will be signing up at cocalico sportmans club next week.


Off the topic. do you guys know if Reading is hiring for LEO???

If you wanna shoot it this coming weekend feel free to let me know. I am about a mile from the sportmans club. They have a nice 3d range and other then that i dont like it. What kinda handgun did you pick up? And congrats!

edit im not sure if they are, they usually just take applications and then contact you with the next testing date if there isn't one soon. You have to stop at city hall during normal hours.

My wife and I have been up there a couple times. We looked at a couple of the model homes there.

Are you going to have a business there or rent the first floor or just keep it as all you're own living space?

I picked up a XD40 service. I have the app for cocalico. Thank you this weekend I am going with a LEO neighbor. Lets stay in touch.
