Default Deer hunting around Berks?

I'd like to get out sometime soon and start scouting for some deer hunting locations for next season. Any good areas around Berks?

There are lots of places in Berks. Finding land to hunt on will be your problem. I live in Western Berks and most of the land around here is posted. Of course there is Blue Marsh, but I'd be really careful about heading out there. If your're willing to walk from the road there are places out there that hold deer throughout the season.

There are a couple SGL also in or near Western Berks. One of the least hunted is behind the Newmanstown area (Lebanon Co.) Not sure of it's designation# and it's not huge, but as I said, it also provides some decent hunting.

As elsewhere, the number of deer you'll see has decreased dramatically in the past years, so be prepared to do alot more hunting to see deer.

Good luck!
