Default Best Way To Buy 30.06 In Bulk?

I really don't want to, but I'm tempted to put a nearly $350 charge on my card for 1000 rounds of 30.06 for my M1 Garand. The price just keeps on jumping up, and I'd just like your guys opinions on buying it at the best bang for your buck.

http://www.thecmp.org/ammosales.htm

koli01 gets ammo from there, I havent (dont own an 06), but I hear its the way to go.

If you can pay it off before you get interest charges then buying in bulk during periods of inflation is the way to go. If you dont have the $$$ to pay it off before your grace peroid on interest is up then you must consider that % rate as part of the purchase price, and they may eat any saving you think you will gain.

+1 of CMP ammo. As long as you don't need more than 10 cases of Garand clipped and 10 cases of loose ammo a year. Seems that some people were buying WAY more ammo than that and CMP placed restrictions on quantities. The consensus is machine gunners feeding their habit.

I also buy my 30-06 for my Garand at CMP. File all the needed paperwork for your first order (fax it to them), then later on you can place orders online. I'd say 800 rounds in boxes would be a good start $192 + shipping (don't waste your money on the stuff already in the clip).

the days of cheap good 3006 are gone.
it was just a few years ago that 400rds of korean PS head stamps were only 80 bucks.

A quarter a round for 30-06 is still cheap in my book!
Plus, you can sell the brass if you don't reload.

I find gun shows have it at bulk prices close to CMP, but without the shipping. Although some get out their calculators to figure in 6%, most just say the price includes PA sales tax.
