Lycanthrope had recommended Wolf Match Target ammo in your "Which 22lr" thread. I heard he knows what he is talking about..

I would suggest CCI mini mag or Eley Tenex rifle(expensive). Federal gold match would do the trick as well which you can pick up a Wal-Mart in bulk for fairley cheap.

In my CZ453,Wolf Match Target and Wolf Match Extra shoot the smallest groups at a moderate price($35-$60 a brick).
This particular Aguila ammo is very good in my rifle and is relatively cheap. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...eitemid=391400 Subsonic ammo is the quietist and is not affected by wind as much as ammo that is faster than the speed of sound. If you want to spend big $$,look at the Lapua and Eley best brands.

Eley if you want balls out.
Wolf MT is the best bang for the buck and shoots one oval hole at 25 yards. CCI standard and Velocitors also had an honorable mention from my gun. But....every CZ I ever saw shot Wolf really well. I used to shoot pistol primers stuck to a board at 25 yards at my local club for quarters.....until they told me the gun was unfair...... .22's are very ammo sensitive and you'll need to run 10-20 rounds down the gun before you shoot for groups when you change ammo so don't just shoot 5 of one brand...then another..... i shoot mine in compition, 452's have very tight barrels and IMO have to be cleaned after session
new it shot rws target in the high 230's at ir 50/50 targets at 50 yards when cold 40 degrees at 70 rws would no longer shoot now at 75 degrees it shoots sk standard + shoots the best, don't let any body tell you wolf match is the same as sdt + it ain't ! i weight and rim thickness all my ammo for my cz, anschutz and savage it makes a big difference !

In mine Mini-Mag hp is very good, and Wolf M/T if you want to challange people to shoot groups.
In mine the Mini-Mags can shoot into the mouth of 9mm cases with minotiney at 25yds and usually stay inside a dime at 50yds. |
