Smile Moving to Greentree

Hello,

As of aug. 15th i will be a resident of greentree and working in monroeville... I went to college in Robinson and haven't been around for couple of yuears anything new happening. I was in the southside while looking at apts and had to stop at mike and tony's. <--- heaven. Just wandering how are the people with OC in the city?

Thanks

I'm in the North Hills of Pittsburgh and I can' recall ever seeing anyone OCing around here. I plan on starting once my holster comes in the mail. I'm pretty sure there was an incident or two over in the Oakland area recently - you'd have to search a bit here to find it.

Lil Dobie has a thread about OC in and around pittsburgh. I think that's what it's called.

Those are all laid back areas I don't think you'll have any problems. And Mike & Tony's rocks!

You have to start coming to group shoots now

I OC around Beechview/Greentree/Robinson on a regular basis. I've had very few negative encounters and a few really good ones.

Welcome to the forums, and welcome back to the city

Group shoots would be awesome when i get some money. My big gun costs 1.50 a shell so that won't happen very often but my 45 is more affordable to shoot. Is there any quality reloaders in the area? I was thinking about becoming a member of the coraopolis sportsman club or somewhere else that people recomend. I have OC'd down in the soutside a couple times and only good experiences so far. And i was also wandering one thing in allegheny county is it still only shotguns during deer season or can u use rifles? Last time i heard u could only use slugs? And for any of you that live close i live in highland hills in greentree and need to no good local bars im 23 now and was only 19 when i lived in pittsburgh last. And i cant always go down to like saddleridge or barroom it's way to expensive.

I'm afraid you are going to learn to hate the parkway east!

I live in Greentree/Banksville City. Just off Potomac between Greentree road and Banksville Road. I belong to Coraopolis and like it pretty well there. They have a indoor pistol and 22 range (no magnums) and a 100 meter outdoor range. I wish there was a 200 meter range there then it would be perfect. I alos do a good bit of reloading and can cast some bullets as well. Are you thinking about starting to reload your own?

As of right now no I don't have any reloading equipment. I would like to start once I get settled down but im afraid that won't be for a couple of years. I want to go back to school and get my bachelors from point park so thats at least 2 more years. and i want to see how this new job turns out. And yes i already hate the parkway east had to travel it past two weekends. Is there construction during the week or just weekends. It seemed like they were taking down the flouresant markers sunday afternoon. And at 10 miles per gallon it's gonne be a pain. But oh well. You gotta do wat you gotta do

And that indoor range wat size of pistol is max i have a desert eagle that is 50AE. is that too big or what is the limit? They r hollow points so they explode at impact. But i dont know and i have a couple rifles to shoot outside but only my 1911 for the indoor range.
