Default Pennsylvana-based gun clubs/associations

I am looking for Pennsylvana-based gun clubs/associations where a woman can become a member. The locations can be between York and Blue Ridge Summit.

Many clubs/associations in the area seem to state in their bylaws if, "the husband belongs the wife/family may participate in events as long as the husband is present."

I am a member of the Adams County Sport Handgunners Association in Gardners, PA.

i would doubt any club doesn't allow woman members, it may say that in the bylaws just because the majority of shooters are male so it applies more often, or they just werent thinking when they put it in there. If you know of a club that doesn't allow women in let us know, i'm sure enough phonecalls would change that very quickly.

Happy shooting

I actually have a list of 16 places that I am doing follow-up calls to tomorrow. Some gentlemen hunters at work have actually verified 4 on the list as men only.

I pistol shoot and am looking for an indoor range for the winter. Wouldn't want my Springfields to get dusty!

wow thats ridiculous, this sport is all about sharing we can't outcast our fellow shooters! Best of luck finding an indoor range, gotta make sure the kids still get out for some exercise during the winter.

Yes, the XD and 1911 need their exercise.

Any indoor ranges in your county? Do indoor ranges even exist any more?

Are they near Pittsburgh? Are there any public indoor ranges where one can pay a fee just to shoot?

My daughter, husband and grandson live in Venetia,PA. I often look for places to shoot when I am traveling. Hoping to get out to Pittsburgh in the next couple of months to visit.

I'd be real interested in a full list of all the men-only clubs in PA once you verify them all. If you could send me a private message with that list when you are done that would rule.

I have a long list of things I'd like to accomplish for gun owners in PA, and trying to bring our ranges into the 20th century might fit into that list nicely.

There's a public indoor range in Glen Rock, PA (about 45 min - 1hr. from Gettysburg). It's called Freedom Armory. I've never been there, but it looks nice (online)--though it seems a little pricey.

Welcome to the forum gabens!

Yes, Anthony Arms has an indoor range that is open to the public.
http://www.anthonyarms.com/

Most clubs around here(there are MANY)have some sort of indoor range, but many, if not all require memberships.
My club has a nice indoor range. http://www.pmsconline.com/
(And yes, women can be members! Good grief! What's wrong with those clubs? Do they allow "colored folk"? Sheesh! How pathetic.)

I'll also mention that we hold regular "group shoots" for PAFOA members at PMSC on the second Sunday of every month. If you're ever in the area, join us. Good bunch of guys and gals, and a lot of fun.
