This is kinda like stating the obvious but so far, we have been concentrating on the details of 'The Incident at Dickson City'.

The several violations that occurred by the police/government are perfect examples of why gun control, even 'reasonable' gun control should be fervently defeated.

This incident embarrassed law abiding citizens and inconvenienced them unlawfully etc. The police will also be embarrassed soon if not already. The PSP 'database' was abused and treated like a registry thus further violating PAPatriot and well, all citizens.

Other than exposing a marginal and possibly even corrupted police force; the end result is clear...

NO CRIMINALS WERE PROCESSED NOR CAUGHT NOR SUBVERTED FROM THEIR CRIMINAL LIFESTYLE.

It only gave the police what they thought was permission to skirt the constitution and exert their imaginary police powers. I wouldn't expect this much intrusion on law abiding citizens during a martial law declaration.

Gun control, even 'reasonable' measures, give us a police state where the actual criminals run rampant, and the police seek out the easy prey who are called law abiding citizens.

I believe there is a role and an important one for LE but this points to the worst case scenario of what Pa. could become.
