Default Re: US troops asked if they would shoot US citizens

We were given a survey similar to that, with that exact question, as well as whether or not we would confiscate American's guns if ordered to do so. The surveys were confidential, and had nothing to do with crowd control. Those questions, as well as the other questions, all seemed to me designed to strike at the heart of things Americans hold dear. We were told to take the survey, not the purpose, but I felt then and still do that the intent was to measure how blindly obedient the servicemen were, how willing they would be to disobey orders they felt illegal, etc. I think they were a.... not sure how to express it... a "social studies" type survey, not a survey designed to create a force of automatons.
