I manage to remove the bastard from my ear, but he went all tyson on me and kept a small piece. Long story short. Little brother and I spent a few hours in Frederick Mem Hops getting rabies shots. And this was in the early 80's, when they gave those really big damned shots in the lining of your stomach. Fuggin squirrels.
